I maintain [Whackipedia.org](https://whackipedia.org), educate through outreach in various foamfighting communities, design tools and sell materials for foamsmithing, and take foamsmithing commissions.\ \ The original goal of this project was to establish a name for my commissions business while also providing a materials sourcing guide, not to become a materials vendor. I started by demystifying materials and getting to the actual specifications behind popular decknamen, brand names, and colloquialisms like "hellcore", "armored carbon fiber", "aethertube", "yoga mat", and "stab foam".\ \ When it became clear that increasing accessibility to certain materials and getting costs lower for the community would require someone being a middleman because of minimum ordering quantities, I changed tack and started vetting vendors for carbon fiber tubes and foam sheets.\ \ One of the central pillars of this effort is keeping information free, followed by keeping costs low for myself and others. I share my sources and will happily discuss costs with anyone. I keep my margins high enough to cover overhead expenses, and to pay myself for time and effort, but also strive to keep them as low as possible. \ \ Currently, I offer a myriad of carbon fiber tube specs up to 2.5 meters long (with options for coupling tubes out to \~3.5 meters in length), foam reblades in multiple types of foam, 3D printed handle profiles, foam shield blanks, and coroplast shield cores. I use flat-rates for shipping, and prices for shipping the large carbon tubes within the contiguous United States can be as low as $35 for a bundle of up to 5.\ \ My name is Carson.
